Procedure:
Step- 1
- Visit Absher portal https://absher.sa/
- Select Absher Individuals” and login your account
- Click on the menu – ( 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner)
- Click on “Update User Information”
- Click on Edit
- Now Click on “Change Mobile Number“
- You will receive an SMS from Absher
- Click on the verification link received in the SMS.
Step- 2
When you click on the link, a page, with the following message will open “You have successfully requested to update phone number“. Scroll it down and do the following procedure.
- After scrolling down a video appears. Watch/play that video
- As soon as the video is complete, a button labeled “Continue” appears. Click on it.
- On the next page, the following message will appear, “The request has been successfully verified. please complete the process in the change mobile service“
So far step- 2 has been completed, now the third step will begin.
Step 3 – Update Absher Account
- Again log in Absher portal https://absher.sa/
- Click on the menu – ( 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner)
- Click on “Update User Information”
- Click on Edit
- Now Click on “Change Mobile Number“
- Click on “Next” in Change Mobile Number Service.
- Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number and click on “Next”
- Now enter the “new mobile number” and click on “Next“
- Enter the OTP received on the new mobile number and click on “Confirm”
- Great! you have successfully changed mobile number in Absher.
Make sure the new mobile number is registered under your name. Otherwise, use the CITC sim check service to find out who the real owner is.
If the new mobile number is registered on someone else’s iqama number, that person has the right to cancel the sim anytime.
Change Mobile Number in Absher Without Login

- Visit Jawazat or Civil Affairs Ahwal Madani Office
Through Self-Service Absher Machines

If you lose or forget your previous phone number, you can use the Absher machine to register a new number to log in to Absher.
Procedure:
On the machine’s screen, select the language as English or, Arabic as per your choice, and do the following procedure,
- Click on ‘Update Mobile‘
- Enter the iqama number and click on ‘Next’
- Now click on ‘Continue‘
- Place your right/left index finger on the reader to verify your identity
- Enter your new mobile number in the following format; 05XXXXXXXX
- Enter the OTP received on the new sim
The next screen will show the message ” Your mobile number updated successfully.”
Visit Jawazat & The civil Affairs – Ahwal Madani offices
You can also visit the Jawazat office to change or update phone number registered with Absher.
However, you need to book an appointment to visit the Jawazat or Ahwal Madani office
Select the city and suitable time and visit the office on the date.
Updating Phone Number Through ATM Machines.
It is impossible to update/change mobile number used for Absher login through the ATMs and the banks. Only use any of the methods given above.
Verifying Mobile Number
You can verify mobile number in Absher Online if it has been changed/updated successfully using these 2 methods;
- Login to your Absher account to receive a verification code on the newly registered mobile number
- Check the SMS received from Absher.
To verify the mobile number in Absher by login to the Absher web portal,
- Visit the Absher Web Portal or open the Absher App
- Enter your username and password.
- Absher will send an OTP to your new registered mobile number.
- If you receive the OTP, you have updated the Absher account successfully.
Check SMS Received On New Sim
As soon as the procedure to change Absher phone number is completed, you will receive an SMS stating, ” Your mobile number has been changed in Absher and the new registered mobile number is 05XXXXXXX”
Adding Another Phone Number In Absher
Absher accepts only one mobile number at a time. To add another number, use any of the above methods and update Absher. The previously registered phone number will be removed from Absher.
