How To Cancel Sims Registered On Your Iqama In Saudi Arabia
CITC Saudi Arabia has a mechanism to cancel any sim anytime. But before moving and registering a complaint, CITC wants you to visit any nearest sales center (Office) of the service provider.
In other words, if you want to cancel a mobily sim card, then first, visit their nearest office and tell them you are not using that particular number. And, want to cancel that. The same procedure works for the other networks, zain, Sawa, Jawwy, and Lebara.
But before you could visit the office, you must know what is the number and network of the sim you want to cancel. You can check How many sims register under your iqama in Saudi Arabia easily.
Keep your iqama in the wallet. The service provider (Sawa, mobily, zain, etc.) needs a copy to start the procedure. They want to make sure that the connection is under your name. And, within a few hours, the sims get canceled.
Note: The service provider can also re-issue the sim if you are willing to use it.
What To Do If Sim Doesn’t Cancel After 5 Days.
Well, that can happen the sim is still under your name even after 5 days of the cancellation procedure. Now you can lodge an online complaint in the CITC portal. The portal checks the data and blocks the sim.
To submit a complaint, the system asks to login. That is easy because you can use Absher username and the password. The rest of the procedure is almost automatic. But make sure you use the CITC portal after five working days after the visit to the service provider’s office.
Want To Transfer The Number To A Friend
You have the option to transfer the number to a friend or family member instead of canceling that. But keep yourself on the safe side. If the sim is being used by your family or friend, then transfer it to their name. Otherwise, cancel it immediately.
Procedure
To transfer the sim, visit any nearest office along with the transferee person. Ask the customer representative to change the name of ownership to your friend. Also, ask to issue the sim. within no time the procedure completes.
