Check Work Permit Status Through The MOL Website

The easiest method to check work permit status is to use the Ministry of Labor’s Website. Follow these simple steps:

Go to the Ministry of Labor’s Website.
It is in Arabic by default; you can change it to English.
Enter your Border Number and Nationality in the specified spaces.
Fill in the Captcha and click the Submit button.

The system will process and display the following details:

Your name
Worker Number (assigned by MOL when the sponsor pays the maktab amal fees)
Your current working status (indicating that you are currently present at your company and do not have a huroob status)
The nitaqat status of your organization (which can vary based on the number of Saudi citizens employed)
The status of the Work Permit issued by MOL, i.e. the Work Permit Number.

Check Work Permit Status Through The Qiwa Website/App

Here’s a step-by-step guide on booking an appointment with Maktab Amal from the Qiwa website or applications. The process is the same for both platforms:

Go to the Qiwa Website.
Login to your account through Email/Identity number and Password (Register if you don’t have an account).
Once logged in, click on the Arrow(>) next to your name.
On the new screen, scroll down to find Timeline.
Open the drop-down and select Work Permit from the bottom.

The screen will display your previous and current work permit details, including Work Permit ID, Expiry Date, and Issuance Date.

What if a Work Permit is not Issued?

Before applying for an Iqama, your employer or sponsor must apply for a work permit on your behalf. If the above methods show that the work permit is not issued, you must ask your employer/sponsor to apply for it.

Similarly, your employer can apply for work permit renewal on your behalf.
