Using Umrah Permit of Another Person is a Crime, Hajj & Umrah Ministry Warns

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah warned the people to not use the Umrah permit issued for another person by using the Etamarna, a dedicated portal to issuing Umrah permits.

The ministry said, “This is not allowed and is considered contrary to the instructions of the Eatmarna and the Tawakkalna applications,”.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has clearly stated that the Tawakkalna app is not to be used for the booking of pilgrimage. Rather, and just for the issuance of the Umrah permit.

“The Umrah reservation is available to every person, including citizens, workers and their families having legal residency permit, and visitors daily until the end of March,” the ministry said.

In addition to that, it is also clear that coronavirus vaccination is not required while applying to issue the Umrah permit through the Etamarna app.

The ministry also denied the rumors, continuously circulating on social media platforms that there were two time frames during which the people willing to perform Umrah could make the reservations for Umrah; the first period starting from Ramadan1st to18th, starting from Shaban 15 March 28), and the second for the period from Ramadan19 to 30, beginning from Ramadan 15 (April 27).

The Hajj and Umrah Ministry warned that it has not issued such a baseless statement, asking citizens and residents to contact it by calling the toll-free number 8004304444 for any assistance in this respect.
