How To Update Iqama In SABB Bank

A Saudi Iqama can last for up to a year and needs to be renewed annually. If the Iqama has expired, the banks will freeze your account for any transaction.

The customers of SABB Bank are informed one month before the Iqama’s expiration.

You can update Iqama expiry in SABB Bank through their Mobile Application or by visiting their nearest branch.

Update Iqama Through SABB Bank Mobile Application

SABB Bank has a multi-purpose mobile application for its users that you can download on any mobile device. The best and easiest way to update Iqama in Absher for SABB bank is through the application. Follow these steps:

Download the SabbMobile application on your Android/IOS device
Now Login into your account
If your Iqama is near expiry, you will see a notification to update your Iqama.

Click on the Update button
Your Iqama expiry date will be updated.

You will not see the notification if your Iqama still has more than a month before expiry. In this case, click on the Trigram Symbol (≡) in the app, go to your profile settings, and update your Iqama expiry manually

Through SABB Bank Internet Banking

You can also update your Iqama through SABB Bank net banking. You just have to ensure that your Kafeel has renewed your Iqama in Absher. Follow these steps:

Visit services.online-banking.sabbnet.com/gpib/ and log in to your account.
You will see a headline: “Dear Customer, your ID expiry date has to be updated, would you like to update it now?”
Click on Update.

A confirmation window will appear asking if you have updated your expiry date at Absher.

Confirm and click on Continue

Congratulations, your ID has been updated successfully. You will also receive a Sabbnet online update message for confirmation.

NOTE: If you click on the Update button without renewing your Iqama, you may have to visit a SABB Bank branch to renew it

Update Iqama By Visiting The SABB Bank Branch

A less common way to update your Iqama expiry is by visiting a SABB Bank branch. There are some cases in which it is mandatory to visit the branch, for example:

Your bank account is frozen
You tried to update your iqama expiry date without renewing it
The Bank itself asks you to visit the branch

In that cases, follow these steps to get your Iqama updated:

Visit the nearest SABB Bank’s Branch
In your turn, explain your purpose of visit to the agent.
He will ask you for your Iqama and make a copy of it. After that, he will print a KYC form from the Bank’s system and ask you to Sing it.
Then, he will update your ID in the system and let you know when it will be updated.

If your SABB Bank account was frozen, you can withdraw some money from any ATM to verify activation.

Note: If you are not sure where the bank’s branch is located. You can use SABB Bank’s Branch Locator service to search for your nearest SABB Bank branch.

How To Update Personal Information In SABB Bank Online?

You don’t have to visit a SABB Bank branch to update your KYC (Know Your Customer Details). You can do SABB KYC update online through their website. Follow the steps below:

Visit services.online-banking.sabbnet.com/gpib/ and log in to your account.
If your KYC is outdated, you will see a message asking you to update your personal information before the said date to prevent your bank account from freezing.
Click on Update
You will see four types of details to be filled in:
Personal Details
Address
Employment
Monthly Anticipated Activities
Fill in these details, accept the terms & conditions and click on Update Details.
A verification window will open. Check your details and click the Confirm button.

Your personal information has been updated successfully with the Saudi British Bank.
