According to the Absher guidelines, you must sign up on Absher portal with the mobile number that is registered on your Iqama.

But!

You find the mobile number you used for Absher registration is not in your name.

Likewise, it may happen that you lost or forgot your Absher mobile number. Or, it may be that you just want to update phone number in Absher.

Well, there are three ways to change mobile number in Absher;

Change Absher Mobile Number Through Portal

If you have access to your current registered number but want to update to a new mobile number in Absher, then use the following method;

When you click on the link, a page, with the following message will open “You have successfully requested to update phone number“. Scroll it down and do the following procedure.

So far step- 2 has been completed, now the third step will begin.

Step 3 – Update Absher Account

Make sure the new mobile number is registered under your name. Otherwise, use the CITC sim check service to know about the real owner. If the new mobile number is registered on someone else’s iqama number then that person has the right to cancel the sim anytime.

Absher Phone Number Change Through Self-Service Absher Machines

In case you lost or forgot the Absher mobile number even then you can change it without Absher login. To do this, you have to visit the Absher kiosk machine near you.

On the machine’s screen, select the language as English or, Arabic as per your choice, and do the following procedure,

  1. Click on ‘Update Mobile‘
  2. Enter the iqama number and click on ‘Next’
  3. Now click on ‘Continue‘
  4. Place your right/left index finger on the reader to verify your identity

The next screen will show the message ” Your mobile number updated successfully.”

Visit Jawazat & The civil Affairs – Ahwal Madani offices

You can also visit the Jawazat office to change or update phone number registered with Absher.

However, to visit the Jawazat or Ahwal Madani office, you need to book an appointment. Select the city and suitable time and visit the office on the given date.

Updating Phone Number Through ATM Machines.

It is not possible to update/change mobile number in Absher through the ATM machines.

Also, it is not possible to update the mobile number through the banks, but through the Jawazat offices as explained above.

How To Verify Mobile Number In Absher Online

You can verify mobile number in Absher Online, if it has been changed/updated successfully using these 2 methods;

  1. Login to your Absher account to receive a verification code on the newly registered mobile number
  2. Check the SMS received from Absher.

As soon as the procedure to change Absher phone number completes, you will receive an SMS stating, ” Your mobile number has been changed in Absher and the new registered mobile number is 05XXXXXXX”

Adding A Mobile Number In Absher

The Absher accepts only one mobile number at a time. If you want to add another mobile number then simply update your mobile number by following any of the methods stated above. The previously registered phone number will be removed from Absher.
