While living in Saudi Arabia, you may need to buy a new SIM but when you visit a cellular company’s office you find out that you can’t buy a sim card because many SIMs are already registered on your iqama. ٰٰ

Similarly, you are using a sim card and suddenly the signals have gone. You have no idea what went wrong and then you come to know that the cellular company has blocked the sim because it was not registered on your name. You feel annoyed and angry.

So to avoid such situations, the CITC portal provides a dedicated sim check service known as ‘Argami‘ to check how many sim cards are registered on your iqama.

In addition, cellular companies ( STC, Mobily, Zain, Jawwy, Lebara, etc.) also provide an SMS service to check the sims under your name on their networks.

Check How Many Sims on Iqama Through cITC sim check Service

You can use CITC mobile number check service in two ways;

Through CITC web portal
Using CST App

If you are using the CITC web portal, then you can get the details in two ways;

By using the Iqama number

By using a registered mobile number and Iqama number

CITC Sim Check If You Don’t Possess a Sim Card | Method-1

If you don’t own a sim card in your name but are doubtful that someone else might be using one then use the following method.

Visit the CITC website. https://arqami.citc.gov.sa/
Click on 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner
Select Language: English

Now Select Inquiry Type: Individual
Enter the Iqama number.
Enter Date of Birth
Has Mobile Number: Select “No I haven’t“
Click on Inquiry

The system will show the list of cellular companies ( STC, Zain, Mobily, etc.) that have issued sim cards on your iqama.

Now, If you have a SIM, then through the following method you can easily check how many SIMs have been issued on your name, but also find out what are the exact sim numbers.

Check How Many Sims On Iqama Using Mobile Number and Iqama Number | Method 2

To get complete information about the sim cards registered under your iqama, provide a mobile number, iqama number and, date of birth on CITC portal. The procedure is as follows;

Open CITC sim check Argami service
Click on the 3 dots ⋮ in the upper right corner and select the English language.
Click on Inquiry
Now enter the following details
- Inquiry Type: Select Individual
- ID No : Enter Iqama number
- Birthdate: Type Date of birth
- Has Mobile Number: Select ‘Yes I have’.
- Enter the mobile number you own
Click on Inquiry
Enter 4-digit CST OTP code
The CITC sim check service will show you all the sim card numbers registered in your name.

The CITC sim check service will provide the details about the sim cards registered on your iqama. You can see in the above image that it is showing the exact mobile numbers and the service providers (Cellular Companies).

You also get information on whether the sims in your name are prepaid or postpaid. The system will show details of up to 7 sim cards. Because an expatriate is allowed to register 7 sims (2 prepaid and 5 postpaid numbers) on an iqama.

After knowing which numbers are registered on your name , you can take necessary actions, like cancel the sim, or re-issue the number.

CITC Sim Check Using CST APP

The CST/CITC app is easy, time-saving, and convenient to check sims on your iqama. The app is available for android and IOS users and can be downloaded from the respective stores. After installing the app do the following procedure;

Open CST app
Login using national access portal
Click on username and password and enter iqama number and Absher password.
Enter OTP and click on continue
Click on “Argami”
The next screen shows all sim numbers registered on your iqama.

If you want to check sim cards registered on iqama in Absher, then

Visit the Absher Nafaz by clicking the Link
Click on 3 horizontal lines and select English Language
Enter your Iqama number and the Absher password.
Enter the Captcha code and click on ‘Login‘
Scroll down and click on ‘Communications Commission CST‘
On the next screen, you will find all the registered sim numbers on your iqama

Send A USSD Code / SMS To Check Sim in Your Iqama

In this method, you can send a USSD code through SMS to your cellular network. The company will provide details about the numbers that are registered under your iqama in its network

If you are a Sawa, STC user, then Send an SMS containing the code 9988 to 900.

For Zain customers, send a blank SMS to 700123

Mobily customers, send an Empty SMS to 616166

For Virgin Mobile customers, send a blank message to 309985

Lebara users need to write ‘ID‘ in SMS and send it to 1755

Users of Etihad Jawraa for Telecom and Information Technology Company MVNO, send an SMS to 1755 by writing ‘ID‘

You will receive a message that will confirm how many sims you have on that network. For example, if you are a Zain customer, then sending a blank SMS to 700123, will provide you with the information about the sims registered in the Zain network on your name/iqama.

Here is a screenshot of a message sent on the STC network. The service replies with the sim number and its status (موثّق بالبصمة) which means that it is an authorized sim with the fingerprint.

Call At The Customer Care Helpline

Every cellular network provides a customer care helpline to provide better service to their customers. You can ask for the sims details by calling them.

Zain Customer Care: 959. You can also dial 0590000959 from other networks

Mobily Helpline: 1100. Other networks users can dial 0560101100

STC Customer Care: 900 or, Dial 114 555 555

Friendi Users Helpline: 166000 and 0571166000

Virgin Mobile: 1789

Lebara Helpline: 1755 or 0576001755

How many sims allowed on iqama.?

You can buy 2 prepaid, and 5 postpaid sims on your iqama in Saudi Arabia. The said limit is for voice, calling sims. However, you can buy Internet data sims as many as you can. There is no restriction at all.

how to find iqama number by mobile number

The cellular companies has data (iqama number, owner name etc.) of their customers but CITC restricts them not to share it with anyone else. So, unfortunately there is no way to find iqama number or the owner name by mobile number.
