Muroor (Saudi Traffic Authority) has created a mechanism for obtaining driving license in KSA. The first task is to book driving license appointment through Absher.
This appointment takes you to the driving training school, which will introduce you to Saudi traffic laws and provide you with the necessary driving training.
How To Book Driving License Appointment
Procedure:
- Visit the portal https://absher.sa
- Login with your Absher username and password
- Click on “My Services“
- Click on “Traffic“
- Click on “Issue Driving License“
- Select one of these two options
- Dallah driving school appointment : Select “التدريب في مدارس تعليم القيادة: طلب تدريب مبتدئ في القيادة (30) ساعة” – “Novice driving training (30) hours”
- Book driving test: To avoid lengthy training sessions, select “التدريب في مدارس تعليم القيادة: تقييم القيادة لمن لديه مهارة (متقدم – متوسط – مبتدئ)” – “Assessment of driving skills”
- Select the “Region” (see details below)
- Now select the driving school branch and the city
- Select the date and time (Read more below)
- On the next page, read the appointment details and click on “Confirm Appointment Details”
- Click on “Print” to get the hard copy of the appointment.

The procedure for booking a Dallah driving school appointment is the same as described above. The training is essential if you are entirely new and need driving experience.
If you are a novice driver, the total training period can be up to 30 hours, and you will receive proper theoretical and practical driving training.
However, if you know how to drive at some level (beginner, intermediate), take a driving test. The duration of the training will be determined according to your driving skills.

Errors While Selecting Training School
You may see this message while choosing the training school;
- sorry, there are no appointments available for booking at this point of time, please try again later.
If you see this message, just change the training school and select another. But if you want to go to the same school, try to get the appointment after a few hours or even the next day.
- Sorry, it is not possible to book an appointment because there is a previous appointment less than 30 days ago
This problem comes if you have already booked an appointment but didn’t visit on the given date and time. You can solve the problem in two ways;
- Rebook the appointment and select a different training school
- Ask an agent to book appointment, sitting outside the same school where you want to go by paying a small fee.
Book Appointment For Driving License Renewal
The procedure for renewing a driving license is slightly different, as you don’t need to undergo any training.
This time you have to book muroor appointment, go to the traffic police office on the selected date and time, and visit an efada approved medical center. After that, just follow the procedure required for the renewal process.
