How to Collect Driving License In Saudi Arabia

After the renewal of the driving license in Saudi Arabia, the next step is its collection. There are two methods to collect driving license. You can opt for Saudi Post’s home delivery service using Absher. While in the second method, you can handpick the document from Muroor office.

Receive Driving License At Home In Saudi Arabia

Life in KSA is quite busy. It is usually difficult to leave the office. To solve the problem, Saudi Post offers a home delivery service for legal documents, such as driving license and vehicle registration card. Anyone with Absher Account can avail of the service. To receive the license, please follow the given steps.

• How to apply for driving license in KSA through Absher
• Login to Absher Account

•  After Successful login, In My Services Tab, Click on Services

• On the next page, Click on Postal Delivery Service

• On document postal delivery home page, click on ‘Request Postal Document Delivery’

• The New Windows will start the delivery service. Select the “driving license“, and click on next.
• Select delivery Address. By default, it will show the addresses registered with the National address system.
• Review your postal address and contact info( mobile number and email). Click on “Confirm Delivery request”
• On the next screen, you will see the message “Your document delivery request has been sent to your postal agencies or companies”

You will receive an SMS on your provided mobile number with billing information from Saudi Post to pay the delivery charges. You can pay it through sadad using your bank account.

After paying the charges (16 Riyals) you will receive driving license at your given address within 3-5 working days.

Collect Driving License From the Muroor Office in Saudi Arabia

If you decide to collect driving license personally, then you can obtain it from the Moroor office. First of all, you have to book traffic police appointment. After getting the appointment, Take Iqama and your old license with you while going to the office.

Muroor will keep the old license card and print the renewed driver’s license within a few minutes.

Every muroor office has special counters to issue the license. Take the token and wait for your turn. Submit your old driving license and sit back. Almost after 10 to 15 minutes, they will ask you to collect it.

Penalties On Late Saudi Driving License Collection

If you collect the driving license after 7 days of renewal, you have to pay 100 Saudi Riyals as a penalty. So, visit the traffic police office as soon as possible to avoid the fine.

The timings for all offices are 7 AM to 2 PM and 10 AM to 3 PM in Ramadan.
